THE FOUNDATION

Formed in 1997, the Ginger & Barry Ackerley Foundation is a family foundation committed to transforming education. The Foundation makes progress in education by funding promising programs in the Puget Sound region, particularly initiatives focused on early learning. In addition to funding, the Foundation hopes to improve education by increasing community involvement in education statewide.

A cornerstone of the Foundation is the deeply held belief that education and the development of skills at an early age are necessary to the future success of each child, and can significantly strengthen the fabric of our families and communities.
