Child Care Resources
Challenge
Early childhood education is directly linked to future academic success, yet kindergarten teachers have reported that 40% of children enter school unprepared. Child Care Resources (CCR) was founded in 1990 to address a major regional issue: safe, quality and affordable child care.
Program
CCR’s Enhanced Accreditation Outreach helps child care centers become accredited, which is an extraordinarily effective way to strengthen the quality of child care. The program provides a professional specialist to help coordinate the accreditation process, mentors relevant to the special needs of each center’s community, and support services designed to meet the criteria for accreditation. In order to make the greatest difference, CCR’s focus is on the communities with the greatest needs and fewest resources.
